How much does it cost?

Adults (ages 13 and up) are $55 per person, and children ages 4–12 are $30 per person. Children 3 and under are always free. There is a $550 event minimum, so the experience is best for groups of 10 or more adults. Gratuity is not included in the price — we appreciate 20% for a great show. We accept cash payment.

What do I need to provide?

Just your space! You'll need to supply tables and seating for your guests. Your hibachi chef brings literally everything else: the flat-top grill, propane, all fresh ingredients, dipping sauces, utensils, and even clean-up supplies. The only thing you need to worry about is enjoying the show.

Do you cook indoors?

Yes, we can! We cook indoors, on covered patios, rooftop terraces, balconies, driveways, backyards — pretty much any space that has adequate ventilation and enough room for the grill and your guests to gather comfortably. If you're unsure whether your space works, just give us a call and we'll talk through the details.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance, especially for weekend dates and holiday weekends which fill up quickly. If you're planning for a major holiday like New Year's Eve or the 4th of July, 3–4 weeks ahead is even better. That said, we do take last-minute bookings when availability allows — just call us directly at (331) 220-7141 to check.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Absolutely. We work with common dietary restrictions including gluten-free, dairy-free, and various allergies. Please let us know at the time of booking if any of your guests have dietary needs and we'll do our best to accommodate. Vegans and vegetarians are welcome too — we offer a fully vegetarian meal option with the same hibachi vegetables, rice, and plant-based protein alternatives.

What proteins are available?

Our standard protein menu includes chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, and scallops. Each guest gets to choose 2 proteins as part of their experience. If you'd like to upgrade, we offer Filet Mignon for an additional $5/person and Lobster Tail for an additional $10/person. Let us know your preferences when you book.

Do you serve alcohol?

No, we do not provide, sell, or serve alcohol. Book Home Hibachi is a food and entertainment service only. You are of course welcome to provide your own beverages for your guests — BYOB is totally fine. We just ask that you check your local regulations regarding outdoor events if applicable.

Question 8

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Life happens, and we get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible — ideally at least 72 hours before your event. Cancellations made with sufficient notice can often be rescheduled at no charge. For last-minute cancellations (within 24 hours) a cancellation fee may apply depending on travel and ingredient costs already incurred. How long does the hibachi experience last?

The full experience — from chef setup to the last bite — typically runs about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on group size. The chef usually arrives 10–15 minutes early to set up the grill. The live cooking performance and dining typically lasts 60–90 minutes. Larger groups may take a little longer. It's meant to be a relaxed, enjoyable dining experience, not a rush.

How many people can you accommodate?

We can accommodate groups of various sizes. The $550 minimum works out to roughly 10 adults, but we've done intimate dinners for 6 and large parties for 50+. For very large groups we may bring multiple chefs. Just tell us your guest count when you book and we'll make sure the setup is right for your crowd.

What cities and states do you serve?

We serve all 50 United States. From New York to Los Angeles, Chicago to Miami, Phoenix to Seattle — if you're in the US, we can bring the hibachi to you. Some very remote locations may require additional travel coordination, but we always do our best. Check our Service Areas page for a full breakdown by region.

Question 12

What if it rains or the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

A little rain doesn't have to cancel the party! If you have a covered outdoor space like a carport, covered patio, or garage, we can often still cook outside. Alternatively, we can set up indoors with proper ventilation. If conditions are truly unsafe (lightning, severe storms), we'll work with you to reschedule at no penalty. Your safety and your chef's safety always come first.
